HFC Table Read

The HFC Table Read is a chance for writers to hear their script read by actors and for actors to practice reading in character. The event is meant to hone the skill set of actors and give an opportunity for actors and writers to collaborate on projects that are in Pre-Production or in Development. This is an opportunity for HFC members only. The table read will take place over Zoom.

Writers can submit scripts for consideration between April 1 and April 23.

• Scripts must be no longer than 20 pages (portions of features or pilots are allowed.)

• Writers must also submit a synopsis and logline.

• Script will be selected based on an evaluation that considers character arc, plot, theme, dialogue, and producibility (i.e. do you have plans to make this film?)

• Julian Cepeda, HFC Director of Showcasing, and Alex Deedy, HFC Director of Fostering, will select the script. 

Actors can apply to read between April 1 and April 23.

• Any actor is welcome to submit

• Actor Profile will be reviewed based off HFC Membership Directory on Wild Apricot

• Actors will be selected based on who best fits roles in the selected script

• Julian Cepeda, HFC Director of Showcasing, and Alex Deedy, HFC Director of Fostering, will select the actors

The script and actors selected will be notified no later than Friday, April 30.
